Evidence-Informed Nervous System Healing for Emotional & Physical Restoration

Healing My Heart integrates nervous system regulation, trauma education, and gut–brain support to help survivors of narcissistic abuse restore safety, clarity, and resilience.
Rooted in neuroscience and trauma psychology, our mission is to help you feel regulated in your body, clear in your mind, and empowered in your life — so you can return to yourself fully.
Healing begins with reconnecting to your body and learning to regulate your nervous system. Trauma is not only remembered cognitively — it is encoded in the body and nervous system.
We use a bottom-up approach, working from the body to the brain, because research shows that restoring physiological safety is the foundation for lasting change.
By gently processing emotions through body-based practices, you can rebuild a sense of safety, balance, and resilience, supporting both emotional and physical well-being.
Our approach combines trauma education with body-based regulation strategies to support recovery after psychological and emotional abuse.
We help you understand what happened, calm chronic stress patterns, safely process stored trauma, reduce anxiety and fatigue, rebuild emotional resilience, and restore clarity and energy.
All work is compassionate and paced appropriately, honoring your safety, autonomy, and lived experience while supporting overall mind-body health.
Narcissistic abuse is a pattern of psychological and emotional harm that occurs within relational dynamics characterized by control, manipulation and instability.
These patterns may include mirroring, love bombing, future-faking, triangulation, breadcrumbing, gaslighting, devaluation, emotional invalidation, withholding, the use of flying monkeys, smear campaigns, and exploitive, coercive, or predatory relational behaviors.
Understanding these behaviors is not about assigning blame but about developing awareness, validating lived experience, and restoring a sense of personal agency. This awareness is a critical step in both emotional and physical healing.
Chronic stress and unresolved trauma affect both emotional and physical symptoms over time.
Depression, anxiety, C-PTSD, insomnia, nightmares, fatigue, chronic pain, inflammation, elevated cortisol, hair loss, IBS and digestive distress are common after prolonged stress or trauma. Many of these symptoms are linked to the gut-brain connection, showing how deeply stress impacts both mind and body.
Through somatic (body-based) healing, nervous system regulation and targeted, anti-inflammatory, nutrient-rich foods that support your gut and brain, we help restore energy, reduce stress, and guide your body out of survival mode toward balance and resilience.
Trauma affects both the brain and the body.
Body-based practices such as somatic exercises, breathwork, grounding techniques, trauma-informed yoga, EFT, EMDR-informed bilateral stimulation, vagus nerve regulation, mindfulness, and other trauma-informed techniques help regulate the nervous system and strengthen neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to rewire and adapt. Combined with nutrition that supports the gut-brain connection, these practices enhance emotional stability, resilience, and self-trust.
As regulation improves, overall well-being, energy, and a sense of balance begin to return.
Nutrition plays a powerful role in trauma recovery.
The gut and brain communicate through the gut–brain axis, primarily via the vagus nerve — a connection that chronic stress can disrupt.
Meals designed to balance hormones, reduce inflammation, and support recovery — rich in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and seeds — support this connection by promoting microbiome diversity, balancing cortisol and blood sugar, reducing systemic inflammation, and supporting hormonal and nervous system health.
Every meal becomes an opportunity to nourish your brain, regulate hormones, and strengthen trauma recovery from the inside out.
Healing narcissistic abuse starts with reconnecting to your body, regulating your nervous system, and gently releasing stored trauma.
